Isobel Lomax and Dolly Biddle are two "mature" cable-accesses cooking show hostesses who have hated each other for 30 years, ever since Larry Biddle dated one and married the other.  Together on a TV show called The Kitchen Witches, the insults are flung harder than the food!  Dolly's long-suffering TV-producer son, Stephen, tries to keep them on track, but the show becomes a rating smash as Dolly and Isobel top both Martha Stewart and Jerry Singer!

Dolly Biddle - Late 50's to mid 60's, very creative, proud of her son, always rushing and somewhat frumpy.  She uses various accents throughout (Ukrainian and Southern).  She is bright and witty, but lacks class.

Stephen Biddle - Early 30's to mid 40's, very nervous character producing his mom's low-budget cable TV cooking show.

Isobel Lomax - Late 50's to mid 60's, see herself as better than Martha Stewart, trained at the Cordon Bleu and believes herself to be possessed of class and is quite elegant. Like Dolly, she's bright and funny, and articulate.

Rob The Camera Guy - Has only one line at the end of the play, but should be capable of miming for the audience.

Audition Note: Actors will be asked to read a monologue and also to work with others in a dialogue.

Sunday, Monday and Wednesday, beginning Monday, October 2, 2017.  This play equitably engages three actors—that's a lot of script. We'll attempt to be off-book by the start of December.
