CAST & CREW – It’s Isabel

Directors Notes – Nick Schols

Well there is a first for everything. After directing many plays and musicals this was my first Radio Play. Thanks to a wonderful cast and crew. My contribution was easy and I learned a lot! Congrats to the team, I hope you enjoy It’s Isabel.

Brenda Clarke

Brenda Clarke

Wilma

Brenda’s acting experience began in her youth playing in a Bye, Bye Birdie performance and years of church singing. She has enjoyed the LLT stage as a cast member with 2 musicals, The Man of La Mancha and the Musical of Musicals.  Brenda has enjoyed being part of the LLT Spring Shorts the last 2 years running both as an actor and then as a director and now her second radio show.
Anne Doughtery

Anne Doughtery

Mother Hanwell

Anne has really missed the Theatre family since COVID shut down her last play prematurely. These Radio Plays have been such a blast to do that, after taking part in the first Radio Play, Triple Triple, she jumped at the chance to participate in this one. Enjoy!
Moira Fox

Moira Fox

Isabel Brewster

This is Moira’s second radio play but she has been a regular on Nanaimo stages. Last seen as Lady Augusta Bracknell in Yellow Point Dramas production of The Importance of Being Ernest in the Fall of 2019. She is having a blast with the Radio Plays and “playing” with her friends again!
Charles Harman

Marni Hastings

Marni Hastings

Tilly Dixon

Marni’s radio love began as a child when her Dad built a new cabinet that resembled a little house around an old radio. To this day she still loves listening to both old and new shows. Thrilled to be part of creating one she enjoyed this experience and looks forward to doing more!
Ken Heibert

Ken Heibert

Mr. Quinn

Ken’s first involvement in the Ladysmith Little Theatre was in 2014, in Man of La Mancha.  Since then, he’s lost track of the plays in which he played a major or a minor part. Perhaps his favourite was as a camel in the Christmas Pantomime.
Gordon McInnis

Gordon McInnis

Announcer and Traffic Cop

Gordon’s role as the Announcer takes him back to the time he made PA announcements in high school. How he can remember something from fifty years ago and not the names of the last few shows he has been in remains one of life’s big mysteries.
Michael Robinson

Michael Robinson

Herbert C. Hanwell

An avid supporter of Ladysmith Little Theatre, Michael is pleased to be a part of this new, old medium in his second radio play. Last seen on the LLT stage in Spring Shorts (2020), previous Ladysmith Productions include Spring Shorts (2019), Kitchen Witches(2018), and Dearly Departed (2015). Working on It’s Isabel has definitely been “A sweet treat.”
Candy Wilson

Candy Wilson

Zelda

Candy has greatly enjoyed working creatively with the LLT during the 2021 Radio play season. She has been on stage at the LLT a few times over the years. You may remember her as Cookie in the LLT production of Rumours, or most recently as Holly in the production, Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun. For Candy, the Radio Plays have been fun to make. It’s a different kind of acting and, as a listener, it allows for imagination development and creativity. She hopes everyone enjoys listening to them as much as they are enjoying making them.
